I gave a friend a complementary gift card for 12 visits to a gym I go to. We went Friday and she was told by the staff, she could either use the 12 visits for 12 consecutive days or join. No one offered to show her around, tell her anything about the equipment or how much a membership would be. So she used one of the 12 visits. The way she was treated was not what I expected at all. I was so angry that when I came home I sent an e-mail to the company telling them what had happened and that I would never give another gift card to anyone. Then forgot about it, well didn’t really but I did feel better. Tuesday I got an e-mail from the manager saying that was not what she expected from her staff and if my friend would consider coming back she personally would show her around and answer any questions she may have. We went back today she had a positive experience and a personal tour of the gym, and shown the equipment, how the machines work and how much a membership was. I am grateful for being acknowledged and my friend treated with respect and caring.
Surprise Tuesday afternoon
